Scuba Diving Details:
- The Open Water scuba diving course is offered through PADI.
- You will be certified to dive anywhere in the world to a depth of 18M with a “buddy”—and you’ll be confident in the knowledge that you have the skills, training and experience to dive safely and comfortably. And you can rest assured that your certification will be accepted and respected wherever you go.
- The course instructor is both a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) and an Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor—with 12 additional specialty instructor ratings.
Your Safety & Comfort: Our First Priority
Your program leader, Jason Sugar, received his dive training at Utila Dive Centre in Honduras—rated the best Instructor Development Centre in the world by PADI and Sport Diver Magazine in 2010, and again by PADI in 2011. He closely follows the rigorous standards and procedures that PADI sets for scuba diving instruction.
Harbour Village Beach Club, Laguna Beach Resort and Utila Dive Centre all provide professional and outstanding service, and maintain the highest level of dive equipment service with respect to the air compressor, tanks, scuba gear, and boats.
Safety Details:
- The course instructor is both a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) and an Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor—with 12 additional specialty instructor ratings.
- PADI’s training programmes, standards and procedures have achieved Global Certification as ISO Recreational Diving Services Standards Compliant.
- Both Bonaire and Utila have hyperbaric chambers with a team of specially trained technicians and doctors available to assist in the highly unlikely event there is an emergency.
- Divers Alert Network (DAN) provides exceptional medical insurance for divers, and is included in the program.
