Policies, Terms & Conditions
The following policies, terms & conditions apply to all services provided by Breakthrough Adventures. Should any questions or concerns arise regarding the following, please bring them to our attention.
Preparation:
You agree to complete the Client Preparation Forms (which will be sent in the weeks preceding the program) and return via email by the requested dates.
Confidentiality:
The Program Leader agrees to hold the content of each program session confidential. This creates a strong foundation of trust and alliance that supports you in reaching a breakthrough. Although you are free to share your personal experience of the sessions with the people in your life (this is a powerful way of reinforcing new insights and skills), you agree to keep private and confidential any information about other participants, and agree to not make any audio or visual recording of the Program Leader or any participant.
Breakthrough Adventures agrees to keep private and confidential any and all personal information contained in the Client Discovery and Client Agreement documents.
Travel Documents:
It is your responsibility to obtain the necessary travel documents required by relevant government authorities. Passports will be required for air and sea travel to or from the program location and may have to be valid for six months beyond the date of the expected return to the home country. Entry to another country may be refused even if the required information and travel documents are complete. No refund or replacement will be given for lost or stolen travel documents.
Flights & Accommodation:
Flights are to be purchased separately. Although Breakthrough Adventures will assist you in making the necessary arrangements, it will accept payment for the Program, Accommodations and Vehicle Rental only. Hoteliers are solely responsible for room allocation, in accordance with the category reserved by customers. Should you choose to alter your room category upon arrival at destination (upon availability), you must make your own arrangements with the hotelier and assume all additional fees levied by them.
Payment:
Full payment for the Program is required to confirm and guarantee your place. Payment can be made by credit card, debit card or Paypal, and charges on your credit card statement will appear under the heading BREAKTHRU. All payments are charged in US funds.
Refunds:
In addition to the cancellation penalties listed below, there is an administrative fee of $50.00 USD:
60 to 45 days prior—75% refundable
45 to 30 days prior—50% refundable
30 to 15 days prior—0% refundable
Physical Health:
To scuba dive safely, you should not be extremely overweight or out of condition. Diving can be strenuous under certain conditions. Your respiratory and circulatory systems must be in good health. All body air spaces must be normal and healthy. A person with coronary disease, a current cold or congestion, epilepsy, a severe medical problem, or one who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs should not dive.
If you have asthma, heart disease, other chronic medical conditions or you are taking medications on a regular basis, you should consult your doctor and the instructor before participating in this program, and on a regular basis thereafter upon completion.
Mental Health:
The experience of the Program is unique to each participant and there is no way to predict in advance exactly what you may think or feel. It is normal for some people to experience unwanted or unfamiliar emotions from time to time, such as fear, anger, sadness, regret, hatred, irritation and impatience. For most participants, exploring thoughts and feelings they have not fully explored before is a useful and positive learning experience. Some participants have found that exploring life’s issues honestly may evoke uncomfortable and unpleasant feelings.
If you are unwilling to encounter any of these powerful experiences in yourself or in others, or if you have any concern about your ability to deal with such experiences, we recommend you do not participate in the program. You acknowledge and understand that the program was designed for people who clearly understand they are responsible for their own health and well-being before, during and after the program, and who wish to enhance their living skills.
Proprietary Materials:
All materials, concepts and information presented in the program, either orally or in writing, are the property of Breakthrough Adventures and are protected by copyright, trade secret and other applicable laws. These materials constitute commercially valuable, proprietary, confidential property of Breakthrough Adventures, the design and development of which required the investment of substantial effort, time and money.
You agree that the materials presented in the program are intended solely for use in the program, and that while you are free to use the materials for your own personal use, and are free to tell others about the benefits you realize from the program, you agree to not resell, reproduce and sell, modify and sell, or repackage and sell the materials.
Liability:
You personally assume all risks while you are a participant in this program. You release, exempt and hold harmless Breakthrough Adventures from any claim or lawsuit by you, your family, estate, heirs or assigns, arising out of your enrolment and participation in this program.
You have read, understood and agree to all the terms and conditions contained in the PADI Standard Safe Diving Practices Statement of Understanding, the PADI Liability Release and Assumption of Risk Agreement, and the PADI Medical Statement.
Force Majeur:
Breakthrough Adventures shall not be liable for failure in the performance of any of its obligations, including without limitation, for any loss or damage resulting from any delay, cancellation, loss of personal belongings, illness, bodily injury, accident, death, deterioration of services, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, disappointment or frustration, either mental or physical, due to an Act of God or Force Majeur, fire, flood, explosion, earthquake, epidemics, quarantine, storm, lightning, tornado or adverse weather conditions.
